Ahhh Politics

On Tuesday night I decided to watch the Republican debate. You know...the one that me and 5 other losers tuned in for. Sometimes I come to the startling realization that I really have no life. Anyway, I decided that I was going to begin testing my new theory that the candidate who actually answers questions will win the nomination. Well needless to say tracking this was like tracking the rate of illegal immigrants that poor accross our borders. This leads me to another rant..How do we know how many illegal immigrants there are in the country if they're UNDOCUMENTED! But I digress. Back to my amazing theory. Surely you've noticed that a politician almost never answers a direct question...the following is a hypothetical scenario.

Moderator - "Mr. Guliani is it true that you favor gay marriage?" (Please note that this is a YES or NO question.)
Guliani - "I believe this country is a place of opportunity. Our founding fathers were men of great vision and integrity. I believe that all people deserve the right to pursue the American dream. When I dealt with security after 9-11 I worked to ensure that right and when I become President I'll work tirelessly to keep those rotten Islamo-fascists from ever attacking us again."
Moderator - "Are you going to answer my question?"
Guliani - "I did."
Moderator - "I must have missed it."
Guliani - "I'm glad you mentioned that. As the Mayor of New York After 9-11 I ensured that no security breech was missed. After the Islamo-fascists murdered 3000 innocent people I rose to the occasion and stood in the gap for all of my fellow Americans."
Moderator - "Um...Yeah."

So my theory is that Americans are tired of politico-babble and want a president who is clear and direct in his approach to issues. I'll do my best to test my theory over the next 18 months. Remember I have no life so you can.
